PHIL 225 - Public Philosophy

(3)
FA, alternate years. This course is both a course about public philosophy and a course in public philosophy. The course explores different ways of understanding public philosophy and offers students three different publics to practice philosophy with: children, the incarcerated, and the elderly. (Other publics are possible, too, with permission from instructor.) One previous philosophy class and one previous social work or sociology class are recommended.
