As needed. This course will introduce concepts, implementation, and evaluation of surveillance systems to monitor the health of human populations. Topics covered in this course include the history of public health surveillance, systematic collection techniques, analysis, interpretation, and dissemination of data. This course will also examine the ethical and legal implications of public health surveillance systems.
