As needed. This course will cover the fundamentals of immunology and specific immune responses to pathogenic disease. Students will examine the different arms of the immune system (adaptive and innate), specific cells types and responses to bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites. Topics will include host-pathogen interactions, immune system failures, therapeutics, and vaccines.
