SP. This course introduces the principles of effective management of nonprofit organizations with a focus on practices of local, national, and international NPOs and NGOs. It considers issues related to organization structure, mission/vision, functions of governing boards, grant-seeking and grant writing, fundraising, marketing of services, public relations, management of volunteers, and employee recruitment, training, and motivation. Prerequisite: junior standing. Not offered 2022-23.
