CHEM 350 - Physical Chemistry for the Biological Sciences (3) SP, alternate years. A survey of physical chemistry with emphasis on the laws of thermodynamics, physical equilibria, transport phenomena, and enzyme kinetics. Topics are treated with life science applications. Prerequisites: either CHEM 102 or CHEM 103 ; CHEM 210 ; and a one-semester college-level calculus course. Corequisite: CHEM 350L . Students completing a BA in chemistry or biochemistry may elect to take this course without completing CHEM 350L .
