BUS 391 - Business Internship (3) FA, SP, SU. Internships involve a minimum of ten hours of work a week for ten weeks (or equivalent) in a professional setting with an approved employer-supervisor in a business or nonprofit organization. Academic work includes meetings with the professor, goal setting, a final paper, an assessment from the employer-supervisor, readings, seminars/workshops, reflective journals, and a major paper/presentation. For business and accounting majors, the internship must be in the student’s major discipline for the course to fulfill a major or minor requirement. Prerequisites: BUS 101 , ACCT 203 , and approval of the internship professor.
