FA, SP. A laboratory course designed to teach students modern biochemical separation and analytical techniques. Included in this course are the following topics: chromatography, gel electrophoresis, ultraviolet/visible spectroscopy, enzyme kinetics, and recombinant DNA techniques. Students will be required to complete a significant writing project related to work completed in the lab. Laboratory. Prerequisite: CHEM 201 is recommended. Corequisite: CHEM 303 or CHEM 323.
