CHEM 304 - Physical Chemistry for the Biological Sciences

SP, odd years. A survey of physical chemistry with emphasis on the laws of thermodynamics, physical equilibria, transport phenomena, and enzyme kinetics. Topics are treated with life science applications. Prerequisites: either CHEM 104  or CHEM 105 ; CHEM 201 ; and a one-semester college-level calculus course. Corequisite: CHEM 304L . Students completing a BA in chemistry or biochemistry may elect to take this course without completing CHEM 304L . Not offered 2019-2020.
