FA. An introduction to the art of acting through readings, discussion, class exercises, improvisations, and viewing performances. Students in this course learn the modern theories and techniques of acting, gaining a deep knowledge of how to both critically assess and realize finished performances for the theatre and screen. Focus is on the physical, emotional, and textual preparation, exploring the creativity of the actor and culminating in a final performance. Not offered 2019-2020.
