FA. An introduction to the engineering thermal and fluid sciences including elements of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer. Concepts include the properties of fluids, first and second laws of thermodynamics, external and internal viscous and ideal flows, and conduction, convection, and radiation heat transfer. Laboratory and project exercises are used to illustrate concepts. Prerequisites: ENGR 202 and ENGR 209, MATH 231.
