FA. This course is a study of the politics and governments of African states. It questions why some states make better progress towards the goals of stability, democratization and socioeconomic development than others. Specific issues examined are military rule, corruption, ethnic and religious strife, poverty, human rights, and health. Not offered 2017-2018.
