MUSC 108 - Music Theory I (4) FA. A study of tonal harmony covering triads, inversions, non-harmonic tones, cadences, tonal theory, and dominant seventh chords. In addition to part writing and analysis, this course includes ear training, sight-singing, and keyboard harmony in laboratory sessions. Prerequisites: basic skill in reading music notation, respectable high-school level of performance in voice or an instrument, or permission of the instructor.
