This course serves as the gateway course for the music major/minor and will help music students to recognize the many roles that music plays in human life and to evaluate them in light of human flourishing and Christian discipleship, appreciating the skills, knowledge, disciplines, attitudes, and virtues needed to become effective musical servants. This course is intended for music majors and minors. Prerequisites: basic skill in reading music notation, respectable high-school level of performance in voice or an instrument, or permission of the instructor.
