CHEM 317 - Physical Chemistry (3) FA. A study of macroscopic properties of matter as described by chemical thermodynamics and kinetics. Major topics include: The laws of thermodynamics and their application to pure substances, chemical reactions, solutions, and physical and chemical equilibria, and reaction kinetics. Laboratory Prerequisites: CHEM 104 or CHEM 105, and CHEM 201, MATH 172, and a college physics course.
