I, alternate years. An introduction to the terminology and cultural context of oral and written communication in Spanish relating to the field of medicine. The course helps students develop language skills and increases their cultural awareness of health care practices and needs for the patient or client of Hispanic background. This course counts toward graduation credit, but does not count in the Spanish major or minor. Prerequisites: SPAN 202/SPAN 203, or permission of instructor.
