FA, SP, and SU. An introduction to the essential functions of the human body. How tissues and organs operate and work together provides an understanding of how the body gets, distributes, and utilizes nutrients, moves, eliminates waste, communicates between tissues and organs, and reproduces. The laboratory introduces basic physiological techniques in an investigative setting. Lectures and laboratories. Prerequisites: BIOL 141  (or BIOL 161 ), CHEM 104 , CHEM 115  or equivalent.
