FA and SP, no credit. This course presents materials that emphasize the development of problem-solving skills and mathematical reasoning. Topics include graphing of linear and quadratic equations, exponents and polynomials, quadratic and logarithmic functions, and ratios and proportions. The course is designed to prepare students for courses that require some higher mathematical skills, as in some business or science classes. Mandatory enrollment in this course is determined by the results of the Math Placement Test given by Student Academic Services. A final grade of C or higher is required for successful completion of the course.
